Will Brahm – Guitar

Performed with: The Will Brahm Trio 7/23/20, The Will Brahm Trio 10/29/20, The Socially Distant Show #1/7/21, Socially Distant Show #6 2/11/21 Bio – Will Brahm is a Los Angeles based guitarist and composer, and a 2019 Herbie Hancock International Guitar competition semi finalist. He received his bachelors of music in Jazz Guitar Studies at California Sate University Long Beach, where he was a five time consecutive recipient of the “K-jazz” scholarship. Will has performed, recorded, and worked with artists such as Arturo Sandoval, the New West Guitar Group, Gordon Goodwin’s “Big Phat Band,” Kim Richmond, Otmaro Ruiz, Sara Gazarek, Jane Monheit, and Gretchen Parlato. Will has toured with The New West Guitar Group across the United States and to Malasia and the Philippines, and toured with his own original music across the United States and to Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Greece, and Turkey. Recent albums of his include the 2017 release of his world original music ensemble “Homenaje,” the 2018 release of his duet album “Will Brahm & Lia Booth,” and the 2019 release of his most recent album under his own name, “Venture Atlas.” Will draws from a number of musical backgrounds from all over the world, giving his original compositions the combination of singing melodies, rich dense harmonic variations, and diverse exciting rhythmic motion. His 2019 album release “Venture Atlas” contains all original compositions of his, and he is joined by Chris Wabich on drum set and percussion, Diego Alvarez on percussion, Ahmet Türkmenoğlu on bass, and Katisse Buckingham on flute....MORE INFO!

Joey De Leon – Percussion

Performed with: The Miley/Koonse/De Leon Trio 8/6/20, The Joey De Leon All-Stars 9/17/20, Socially Distant Show #6 2/11/21, Jazz Round Table #2 3/16/21 Bio – Joey DeLeon has performed or recorded with artists of almost every genre from jazz, Latin, pop, and contemporary classical. The diverse list of artists is too long to mention but vary as wide as Queen Latifah and Al Jarreau to Juan Gabriel and Jennifer Lopez, to Barry Manilow and Cyndi Lauper, to George Crumb and Tan Dun. He was a member of The Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band from 2006-2018 and Arturo Sandoval from 2012-2014. He currently plays with the Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band.  The latter two have garnered him Grammy Awards....MORE INFO!

Pat Kelley – Guitar

Performed with: Socially Distant Show #2 1/14/21, Socially Distant Show #6 2/11/21, Pat Kelley Trio 3/25/21, Jazz Round Table #5 5/4/21 – Guitar Night, One-Year Anniversary All-Star Jam Extravaganza 6/19/21 Bio – Recognized for his signature touch, harmonic dexterity, bluesy melodies and sense of rhythm, guitarist Pat Kelley has enjoyed a steady and successful career in Los Angeles as a studio and touring musician, recording artist, composer, producer, arranger, vocalist, recording engineer, and educator. An integral part of the Thornton School of Music Guitar Faculty at the University of Southern California for twenty-four years, two of Pat’s books, Arpeggios for the Evolving Guitarist and Melodic Minor Guitar are part of the USC Thornton School of Music instructional series (Mel Bay Publications). Pat has also been on the faculty of the Monterey Jazz Festival Summer Jazz Camp, Guitar College Summer Guitar & Bass Camp, the University of Tulsa Summer Jazz Camp, and Interlochen Center for the Arts. A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Pat grew up playing music with his Dad, other guitarists, singers, and bands, from the age of five. After majoring in music composition at the University of Tulsa, Pat moved to Southern California in the early 1970’s where he has recorded and toured with George Benson, Natalie Cole, David Benoit, Ronnie Laws, Hubert Laws, Tom Scott, Al Jarreau, Chick Corea, Dave Brubeck, Dave Koz, Jane Monheit, Olivia Newton John, Melissa Manchester, Burt Bacharach, Jose Feliciano, and many others. Performances with symphony orchestras include Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Houston, Atlanta, Tulsa, Denver, San Antonio, Auckland, Nashville, Toledo, and the Asia America Symphony Orchestra. While recording hundreds of commercial jingles, records, films, and television shows, Pat also worked for several years as the guitarist in house bands on the Merv Griffin, Pat Sajak, and Carol Burnett television shows. He has also written more than one hundred-fifty compositions that have been recorded for CDs, film, television, and music libraries. In 2003, Pat was inducted into the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame, joining past inductees Chet Baker, Oscar Pettiford, Lester Young, Charlie Christian, and Barney Kessel....MORE INFO!

Larry Steen – Bass

He has also recorded on a plethora of other artists’ albums, as well as for film, TV and radio, including the nationally syndicated, radio show A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor. In addition, he has performed with world-renown artists Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Dionne Warwick, Mel Torme, Ella Fitzgerald, Barry Manilow, Melissa Manchester, Jimmy Buffet, Leonard Cohen and Deadmau5, among others, and currently co-leads Sip of Soul and Sippin’ Time (sipofsoul.com) with his wife, vocalist Nikki Steen. Larry’s formal education includes a Master of Fine Arts from California Institute of the Arts (CALARTS), as well as a Bachelor of Music from the University of Miami after attending the Berklee College of Music.
